The annual Kostomuksha Business Forum was organised for the fourth time on 1st – 2nd October 2019, this year with the theme “New Business Opportunities”. The event gathered altogether 220 participants from Finland and Russia, interested in developing cooperation in various fields, to culture centre Družba.

In addition, Dmitry Rodionov, the Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government of the Republic of Karelia spoke about the prevailing investment possibilities in the area of Republic of Karelia.

Consul General of Finland in Saint Petersburg Anne Lammila emphasised the importance of Finnish-Russian cooperation in various fields and stressed the fact that from Finland’s point of view, the border is seen as something that actually connects and not separates the two countries. This year, also a delegation of Finnish regional mayors participated the business forum. As an additional program, the mayors visited the information centre of Kostomuksha Nature Reserve and the Karelskiy Okatysh mining combinate.

The materials and presentations of Kostomuksha Business Forum may be found on the Russian event site either in Finnish or in Russian, depending on the native language of each of the speakers.
