The XIX Finnish-Russian Cultural Forum in Savonlinna on 28th–29th September 2018

Find a Cooperation Partner for Your Project Across the Border!

Would you like to carry out a cultural tourism projece in Finnish-Russian cooperation? Or would you perhaps like to participate an ethno-music festival in Russian Karelia? Do you find Russian museum collections enticing? If yes, you have time till 28th February to develop your idea and join us for Finnish-Russian cultural cooperation.

The Partner Search is Open for Everyone

The Forum helps cultural actors in finding a partner and launching joint ventures. In the Forum, cultural and art professionals, amateurs and institutions have a channel for finding a suitable partner in the neighbouring country.
These activities have not been limited to given forms of art, but comprise the whole spectrum of culture, including education. Finnish and Russian partners may propose joint projects themselves or respond to a proposal made by a cultural actor in the neighbouring country. The service is free of charge.

As a Finnish partner, you may start your search by filling the project proposal form by 28th February 2018. You may find the form with instructions at: http://www.kultforum.org/fi/tervetuloa-suomalais-venalaisen-kulttuurifoorumin-hanketietokantaan. You may suggest either totally new project ideas or present an existing cooperation to be developed further. The Russian candidates will be announced  in May-June 2018. Each of the project candidates may then decide who they want to start project negotiations with.

The Finnish-Russian Cultural Forum as a Place to Meet Colleagues and to Network

You also have an opportunity to participate the forum event organised in Savonlinna on 28th–29th September 2018 and to negotiate with your cooperation partner assisted by an interpreter. In addition, there are several interesting seminars and meetings available for the participants and you may broaden your network with other actors and to get advice on project cooperation and the funding available.

The actions related to Finnish-Russian Cultural Forum  were initiated in 2000 and since then, suitable partners have been found for more than 1300 project ideas.

The Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and the Finland-Russia Society in Finland and the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture are the main bodies responsible for the arrangements.

Join the fruitful cooperation and help to keep up the dialogue in the field of culture! Send in your project proposal by 28th February 2018.
